A large, purpose-driven organisation is looking for a Lead Solution Architect to shape the future of research and data platforms, with a strong focus on medical and genomic data.

This is a hands-on architecture role where you’ll shape solutions from early discovery and RFPs through to implementation and delivery, working closely with scientists, product teams, and niche third-party partners.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading solution architecture for research & data initiatives
• Designing scalable platforms for genomic / sequencing-type data
• Shaping early discovery, procurement (RFPs) and delivery
• Defining modern data architectures (e.g. data mesh, graph, shared pipelines)
• Working with specialist partners and large-scale organisations (e.g. pharma)
• Operating in a collaborative, “all hands in” architecture team

What we’re looking for:

• Proven Lead / Senior Solution Architect experience in large-scale environments
• Strong research data architecture experience (medical, life sciences, genomics)
• Hands-on architectural leadership
• Cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure (cloud-agnostic mindset)
• Comfortable working from discovery through to delivery
