About HomeHudl

HomeHudl is a PropTech startup redefining the real estate experience through dynamic matching technology. We are moving away from traditional search and toward an intelligent, data-driven "match" between users and agents. We are building a high-performance platform that requires a developer with an eye for both architectural efficiency and UI polish.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-potential Front-End Developer Intern who is ready to skip the basics and dive into production-level code. You will work directly with our founders to build out the core matching interface. This role is ideal for a senior student or recent grad who has already built complex applications and wants to see how a startup scales from the ground up.

What You Will Do
  • Advanced UI Development: Implement responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces using React and Tailwind CSS.
  • System Architecture: Contribute to client-side state management and data fetching patterns (React Query, Context, or similar).
  • Dynamic Logic: Build the front-end logic that powers our matching engine, ensuring data remains synced and the UI stays reactive.
  • Agile Leadership: Fully integrate into our Agile/Scrum workflow. You will be expected to own your tasks, participate in deep-dive code reviews, and meet weekly sprint goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design and backend teams to ensure seamless feature delivery.

Who You Are
  • Beyond the Basics: You have substantial experience building and deploying web applications (previous internships or complex open-source contributions).
  • Deep Tech Stack Knowledge: You are highly proficient in React (Hooks/Functional Components), TypeScript (Strict Typing), and Tailwind CSS.
  • PST Synchronized & Flexible: You are located on the West Coast and are available for our mandatory weekly meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM PST. Outside of this sync, we offer flexible work hours to accommodate your schedule.
  • Architectural Thinker: You understand why modular code matters and you prioritize reusability and performance.

The Interview Process

Our process is designed to be efficient, rigorous, and fully remote:

  1. Initial Screening: A thorough review of your GitHub, portfolio, and technical experience to ensure alignment with our stack.
  2. Remote Technical Deep Dive: A comprehensive video interview including a technical walkthrough of your previous work, a live logic assessment, and a discussion on vision and culture fit.
