We’re hiring a Senior Test Engineer, Automation to join a mission-driven technology team building large-scale, student-facing digital platforms used by millions across the U.S. This is a hands-on automation role focused on modern JavaScript testing frameworks, cloud-native systems, and CI/CD pipelines.

🚀 Senior Test Engineer, Automation (JavaScript / Node.js)
Location: 100% Remote (EST preferred; CST considered)
Duration: Long-term contract (12 months) with extensions every 6 months
Please note: This role does not support C2C or third-party engagements. Candidates must be able to work directly on W2.
What You’ll Do:

- Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and best practices across multiple products
- Write automation using JavaScript and Node.js for frontend applications, APIs, and serverless backends
- Develop browser automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams
- Test applications running on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB
- Execute automated and manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Investigate defects, validate fixes, and clearly document findings for engineering teams
- Collaborate with software engineers and product partners to define test coverage and ensure high-quality releases
- Provide mentorship and guidance on modern QA automation practices

✅ What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience in software testing and QA automation
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and Node.js
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser DOM
- Experience with modern automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Mocha, etc.)
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience testing applications in AWS, especially AWS Lambda
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment
