Benefits and HR Operations specialist
Salary: $95,000–$120,000 DOE
Location: Fully Remote
We’re partnering with a high-growth technology business to appoint an experienced Benefits Specialist with HR Ops into their People team. This is a senior individual contributor role with genuine ownership, ideal for someone who thrives in a standalone environment and enjoys blending deep benefits expertise with hands-on HR operations.
You will own US benefits and leave end-to-end, act as the subject matter expert for the business, and play a key role in delivering smooth, compliant HR operations across a growing global workforce. You’ll partner closely with the Global HR Operations Manager and serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and leaders alike.
Duties:
Benefits & Leave
- Own US benefits programs end-to-end, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and ancillary benefits
- Lead leave of absence processes, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and state-specific leave
- Ensure compliance and accuracy across a multi-state US population
- Manage vendors and brokers, including evaluations and renewals

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries via the global People shared mailbox
- Process employee lifecycle changes including onboarding, job changes, restructures, terminations, and exits
- Draft and manage employee letters and documentation across the lifecycle
- Maintain accurate employee records in Workday (HRIS)
- Administer the global Employee Recognition Program
Compliance, Reporting & Improvement
- Own US annual and people-related reporting to relevant government bodies
- Partner with employees and leaders to provide clear guidance and trusted advice
- Improve processes, reduce manual work, and build scalable, employee-first ways of operating
- Support broader People and HR Operations initiatives as the business scales

What You Bring
- 4+ years’ experience managing US benefits and leave across multiple states
- Strong HR Operations experience, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth environment
- Solid working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and benefits compliance
- Experience operating autonomously with confidence and accountability
- Comfort managing vendors and complex stakeholder group
- A detail-oriented, customer-first mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- International HR or benefits exposure is a bonus
