Marathon TS is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a high-visibility Navy AI/ML initiative focused on predictive analytics and operational readiness. This role will support the development, deployment, and security of cloud-based applications by integrating security best practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline.
The DevSecOps Engineer will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure applications are scalable, secure, and compliant with DoD standards.
This is a fully remote position, but it does require onsite travel to a local military base when needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
- Embed security automation throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support cloud infrastructure deployments (AWS and/or Azure)
- Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Perform vulnerability scanning, remediation, and compliance validation
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices
- Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture
- Assist with documentation and compliance artifacts as required

Required Technical Skills:
- DevSecOps / DevOps experience in secure environments
- CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Containerization: Docker
- Orchestration: Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
- Scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, container scanning)
- Experience supporting compliance-driven environments (DoD preferred)
