About the Opportunity:
A fast-growing Series A startup is seeking a Global People Operations Manager to support cloud development processes and enhance developer feedback loops. The organization provides a high-fidelity emulator and local cloud development platform running in Docker, enabling developers to build and test cloud applications locally. The role is for a remote-based individual located on the US East Coast.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full employee lifecycle for a global workforce across 26 countries, including contract preparation, leave management, promotions, and exits
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, focusing on the USA, Austria, Switzerland, and Spain
• Collaborate with Finance and external payroll providers to ensure accurate monthly payroll execution
• Deliver key global projects such as career development frameworks, training programs, benefits implementation, HRIS improvements, and annual performance and salary reviews
• Maintain and enhance the HRIS system functionality
• Automate people processes using systems and technology
• Lead internal communications planning
• Drive employee engagement initiatives including team building events and workshops

Requirements:
• Knowledge of labor law and experience managing employees across multiple jurisdictions, prioritizing the USA, Switzerland, Austria, and Spain
• Experience processing payroll or managing external payroll providers in several jurisdictions, especially the USA and Spain
• Proven background in people operations covering contracts, compensation, leave, payroll, and compliance
• Experience managing and improving HR systems such as HiBob or Workday
• Expertise in at least one area: Rewards, Learning & Development, or Culture & Employer Branding
• Spanish or German language skills are a significant advantage

Compensation:
• Salary range: $90,000 to $140,000 per annum
• Compensation based on experience, location, and skills
