Senior Oracle Cloud Engineer

📍 Location: Netherlands (emigrating to the Netherlands is part of the job)

Are you an experienced Oracle engineer who enjoys designing, building, and transforming platforms rather than managing them? And are you motivated to play a key role in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) transformations?

As a Senior Oracle Cloud Engineer, you will work on complex Oracle platforms supporting large-scale retail operations with high availability and performance requirements. You will be closely involved in the design, development, and evolution of on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, and play a key role in migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

What you will do

✅ Design and further develop Oracle platforms (on-prem, cloud, and hybrid)

✅ Lead and support migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

✅ Work with Oracle Exadata as part of the platform landscape

✅ Develop Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and lifecycle management

✅ Build and improve CI/CD pipelines within Oracle environments

✅ Automate deployment, configuration, and scalability

✅ Advise on cloud architecture, security, and observability

✅ Act as a technical point of contact and sparring partner for engineers and stakeholders

What you bring

✔ Senior-level experience as an Oracle Engineer / Cloud Engineer / Platform Engineer

✔ Deep knowledge of Oracle technology in enterprise environments

✔ Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud migrations

✔ Experience with Oracle Exadata (platform or cloud side)

✔ A strong DevOps mindset

✔ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)

✔ Scripting experience (e.g. Shell, Python, PowerShell)

✔ Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, and observability

✔ A solution-oriented mindset with a focus on future-proof architectures

Nice to have

➕ Experience with Oracle Cloud security services (e.g. Cloud Guard, Data Safe)

➕ Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools

➕ Experience in very large, mission-critical environments
