QA Automation Engineer – Hybrid in Guadalajara

Location: Guadalajara (Hybrid)

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress
• Perform end-to-end manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and regressions
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers

• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test data
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Advocate for quality and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong background in manual and automated testing
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright or Cypress

• Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance or security testing
• Exposure to Docker or cloud environments (Azure)
• Working knowledge of TestRail, Jira, or similar tools
