Data Engineer

Position: Data Engineer (Contractor)

Location: Fully Remote

We are currently seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our client's dynamic team on a contract basis, working fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support the ongoing increase in data volume and complexity.
• Integration with ML Systems: Design data assets and pipelines for integration with machine learning systems.
• Data Quality Monitoring: Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
• Data Analysis and Troubleshooting: Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
• Data Integration Design: Design data integrations and data quality frameworks.
• Collaboration and Strategy: Work closely with business, analytics, and data science teams to develop a strategy for long-term data platform architecture.

Qualifications:

• Experience in ETL Pipelines: 5+ years of experience in creating and maintaining ETL pipelines with Azure Synapse.
• Technical Proficiency: Excellent in SQL, PySpark, and Python with at least 5+ years of experience.
• Azure Databricks: 5+ years of experience with development in the Azure Databricks platform.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Machine Learning: Experience with the machine learning model lifecycle.
• Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
