📌 Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer to support a major Google Cloud transformation program.

You will play a key role in building and operating a production-ready GCP Landing Zone, enabling secure networking and platform services, supporting migration waves, and delivering infrastructure through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines with strong governance and evidence.

This is a hands-on, embedded role in a compliance-heavy enterprise environment.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

GCP Landing Zone & Governance

• Build and operate a production-grade GCP Landing Zone (org, folders, projects)
• Design and manage Shared VPCs, subnets, routing, and firewall policies
• Implement IAM baselines, org policies, budgets, tags, and guardrails
• Enable central logging, monitoring, and security posture controls

• Configure KMS / CMEK and encryption standards

Networking & Connectivity

• Implement HA VPN and Interconnect components (where applicable)
• Manage DNS, load balancing, and egress governance

Platform & Security Services

• Deploy and integrate services such as SCC, Cloud Armor, logging/monitoring, backup, storage, Pub/Sub
• Ensure security and operational readiness with traceable evidence

IaC & CI/CD Delivery

• Deliver infrastructure using Terraform with Git-based workflows
• Implement CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitLab, or Jenkins)
• Enforce PR approvals, gated deployments, rollback patterns, and audit trails

Migration & DR Support

• Support migration factory execution (wave onboarding, cutovers, hypercare)
• Troubleshoot issues and perform post-migration validation
• Support DR readiness, routing, monitoring, and DR drills

Documentation & Collaboration

• Produce high-quality as-built diagrams, runbooks, and handover materials
• Work closely with security, DBA, and delivery leads
• Provide clear status updates, risks, and technical insights

✅ Required Experience & Skills

• 5–10 years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Google Cloud (GCP) delivery
• Strong experience with:

* Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

* GCP networking (VPC, Shared VPC, routing, firewalls, LB, DNS)

* IAM, org policies, logging, monitoring, and security baselines

• Experience supporting VM migrations (VMware/OpenStack is a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Network, or Security)
• Experience in compliance-heavy or regulated environments
• Familiarity with evidence-based delivery and operational readiness practices
