Head of Artificial Intelligence (Large Healthcare Group - Relocation to Vietnam)

As part of its digital transformation journey, the organization is seeking a visionary and commercially minded Head of Artificial Intelligence to lead and scale AI initiatives across a multi-site healthcare network.
This is a strategic leadership role that combines healthcare innovation, business growth, and responsible AI governance. The successful candidate will drive enterprise-wide AI adoption while also developing new AI-enabled services, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a group-wide AI strategy aligned with business growth, clinical quality, operational efficiency, and competitive differentiation.
- Identify, design, and launch AI-enabled business initiatives such as AI-supported clinical services, patient engagement solutions, and data-driven healthcare offerings.
- Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans for AI-powered services in collaboration with strategy and commercial teams.
- Explore strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and external commercialization opportunities for AI platforms and data-driven solutions within ethical and regulatory boundaries.
- Lead the development of a secure, scalable healthcare data and AI platform integrating clinical, operational, and financial systems.
- Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure strong data governance, privacy, and infrastructure readiness for AI deployment.
- Drive AI applications across the revenue cycle, including eligibility checks, coding optimization, claims analytics, denial prediction, fraud detection, and cash flow forecasting.
- Lead deployment of AI across clinical and operational domains such as clinical decision support, predictive patient analytics, demand forecasting, staffing optimization, and capacity planning.
- Build and lead a high-performing AI function covering data science, machine learning engineering, and clinical informatics.
- Develop AI literacy and adoption programs for executives, clinicians, and operational leaders to embed data-driven decision-making.
- Manage relationships with AI vendors, technology partners, startups, and academic institutions; lead build-versus-buy evaluations.
- Define KPIs and track performance, ROI, revenue contribution, and operational impact of AI initiatives, report progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or strong commercial leadership experience is an advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in AI, data science, or advanced analytics, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record delivering AI solutions in healthcare or other regulated, service-intensive industries.
- Demonstrated success in commercializing digital, data, or AI-enabled products or services.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and clinical environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, clinicians, and technical teams.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate AI capabilities into sustainable business value.
- Entrepreneurial, outcome-driven, and comfortable working in evolving and complex environments.
- High ethical standards with a strong commitment to patient trust, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
