As we scale our product portfolio and e-commerce presence globally, we’re looking for a Product Manager to own and drive end-to-end development of key product categories.

The Role

As a Product Manager at Hungry Minds, you will own one or more physical product categories from concept to production. You’ll work cross-functionally with Design, Sourcing, Planning, and Operations to turn creative ideas into market-ready products that meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.

This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role suited for someone who enjoys structure, detail, and creative collaboration in equal measure.

Responsibilities
  • Own assigned product categories end-to-end, including market research, concept development, timelines, briefs, reviews, and day-to-day execution
  • Develop clear, actionable product briefs grounded in trend research, customer insights, competitive analysis, and business objectives
  • Lead product brainstorms and collaborate closely with Design to evaluate, refine, and select concepts
  • Build and maintain accurate line sheets, including specifications, pricing, materials, and timelines
  • Partner with Sourcing to assess feasibility, materials, costing, and MOQ negotiations
  • Manage category timelines, sampling rounds, feedback loops, and approval processes
  • Ensure all products are fully specified prior to production, including costing, packaging direction, materials, and technical requirements
  • Review and approve PPS samples for color accuracy, print quality, materials, and overall execution
  • Communicate project status, risks, and changes clearly across cross-functional teams
  • Lead line reviews with Planning, using performance data and market insights to inform assortment and iteration decisions
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of the physical product development lifecycle, from concept to production
  • Strong product sensibility and trend awareness within specialty gift, lifestyle, publishing, or consumer goods
  • Ability to translate creative ideas into structured, execution-ready briefs
  • Working knowledge of costing, margins, and basic P&L principles
  • Ownership mindset with accountability for timelines, milestones, and cross-team alignment
  • Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills in fast-moving environments
  • Clear, confident communicator across creative and operational teams
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
