Senior Graphic Designer (Financial Services)

PEG Staffing is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our financial client for a 6-month fully remote contract opportunity.

This role sits within a Design Strategy team focused on business innovation, strategy, human-centered research, and experience design. The team partners closely with internal business units as internal consultants to improve the experience of Financial Advisors and their support staff.

Through research and collaboration, the team works to understand advisor and staff needs, translate those needs into actionable insights, and design new processes, services, policies, communication materials, and digital prototypes. In some cases, the team delivers final artifacts; in others, it provides the strategy and roadmap that downstream teams execute.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a wide range of visual communication assets, including web pages, brochures, logos, one-pagers, posters, reports, and high-fidelity visual assets.
• Translate complex business and strategic concepts into clear, compelling visual narratives, reflecting a high bar for craft and storytelling.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand objectives, shape design direction, and deliver solutions aligned with strategic goals.

• Create and refine visual assets with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and brand consistency.
• Produce iterative drafts and prototypes, present work clearly, incorporate feedback, and pivot effectively as direction evolves.
• Support storytelling for strategic initiatives by visually communicating frameworks, recommendations, and end-user guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, with demonstrated senior-level visual craft and storytelling.
• 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, designing for business, strategy, or advisor-facing audiences.
• Portfolio required demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual craft, storytelling, and experience translating business or strategic content into clear communications.

• Design Tools: Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Visual Storytelling & Concept Development: Ability to transform strategic content into engaging, easy-to-understand narratives.
• Typography, Layout & Craft: Strong command of hierarchy, color, composition, and polished execution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at partnering with stakeholders to drive clarity and alignment.
• Digital & Print Design: Experience designing for web, mobile, presentations, and print, including production-ready files.
• Iteration & Feedback Integration: Ability to explore multiple design directions, respond to evolving briefs, and clearly articulate design decisions.
• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business strategy and financial services concepts and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Adaptability & Learning Agility: Comfortable shifting between projects, learning new content areas, and adjusting approaches as priorities evolve.
