The Ash Group is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer III for a technology-forward financial services provider known for its innovative credit, loyalty, and payment solutions. This is a 12-month Remote contract role based in the United States, offering a pay rate of $77.00 per hour.

We are looking for a senior-level tester to own the quality of a "Frictionless" credit card application app, focusing heavily on front-end user experience while scaling automation capabilities.

Role Details

• Compensation: $77.00 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Front-End Excellence: Execute manual test plans for a high-traffic "Frictionless" application, ensuring the user interface for credit card applications is seamless and bug-free.
• STLC Management: Lead quality efforts across the full Software Testing Life Cycle, from requirements review to first-event production validation.
• Technical Validation: Utilize SQL to query databases, identify test accounts, and verify that back-end application behavior aligns with UI outputs.
• Automation Strategy: Support the transition from manual to automated testing by utilizing Cypress and Selenium to safeguard product quality prior to deployment.
• Defect Orchestration: Identify, track, and report intricate quality challenges in Jira, managing the defect lifecycle and communicating risks to developers and stakeholders.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop first-events validation plans, including backout mitigation and post-install support for new system and client enhancements.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Partner with external clients for onboarding and technical integration, acting as the bridge between business requirements and technical execution.

What We’re Looking For

• Domain Expertise: 8+ years of functional testing experience specifically within the Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) industries.
• Tooling Proficiency: Deep hands-on experience with Cypress, Jira, qTest, and SQL (DB2 or similar).
• UI/UX Focus: A proven track record of testing front-end web applications and ensuring frictionless user journeys.
• Methodology: Strong background in Agile, API Testing, and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
• Education/Certification: Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Information Technology. ISTQB, CSTP, or CAT certifications are highly desirable.
