Job Description

About Denali Health

Denali Health is a dynamic Clinical Research Network dedicated to accelerating the development of life-saving therapies. We operate a hybrid model with high-performing clinical sites (like our Atlanta hub) and a global, remote workforce of regulatory and operational experts.

We are growing fast, and we need a Human Resources Specialist who understands that our greatest asset is our people—whether they are drawing blood in Atlanta or managing regulatory documents in London.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy HR Specialist to serve as the backbone of our remote-first People Operations. In this role, you will wear two major hats: Recruiter and Culture Keeper.

You will be responsible for sourcing top-tier talent and ensuring they have a seamless, engaging onboarding experience. You will help us navigate the unique challenges of managing a distributed workforce, ensuring compliance, connectivity, and culture across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition (Recruitment)

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage job postings, screening, and interviewing for both clinical (on-site) and administrative (remote) roles.
  • Niche Sourcing: Actively hunt for specialized talent, such as Clinical Research Coordinators, Principal Investigators, Nurses, and more.
  • Pipeline Management: Build a robust candidate pipeline for frequently hired roles to reduce time-to-fill.

2. Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Remote Onboarding: Orchestrate a "White Glove" digital onboarding process, ensuring new hires have their tech, access to systems (e.g., Slack, HRIS), and welcome kits on Day 1.
  • Training Coordination: Partner with department heads to schedule training sessions (e.g., GCP training, SOP review) for new staff.
  • Culture Building: Organize virtual team-building events and initiatives to maintain high engagement in a fully remote environment.

3. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Global/Domestic Compliance: Assist with employment contracts for US employees and international independent contractors.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefits enrollment and answer general HR queries.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain accurate employee records in our HR software, tracking PTO, performance reviews, and certifications.
Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Experience: 3+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Remote Proficiency: Experience working in a remote/distributed team and using tools like Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and modern HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto, Rippling).
  • Communication: Exceptional written communication skills (you will be writing many emails and job descriptions).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Clinical Research. Understanding the difference between a CNA and a CRC is a huge plus.
  • Global Experience: Familiarity with hiring platforms for international contractors (e.g., Deel, Remote.com).
Why Join Denali Health?
  • Work From Anywhere: This is a fully remote role with flexible hours.
  • Build Something New: You aren't just maintaining a legacy system; you are helping build the HR infrastructure for a fast-growing company.
  • Diverse Team: Support a workforce that ranges from hands-on medical staff to international regulatory experts.
