The role requires providing 24x7 support, performance tuning, backup & recovery, managing replication, and ensuring security. The ideal candidate must be adept at direct customer interaction, handling incidents, and supporting high-availability environments.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience as an Informix DBA.

• Strong, hands-on expertise in Informix Database Administration (DBMS).
• Proficient on Unix / Linux platforms.
• Experience with database installation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Expertise in performance tuning, statistics management, and SQL optimization.
• Hands-on experience with backup & restore tools: Veritas NetBackup (TARA) / NetVault / Tivoli.
• Implementing and managing high availability, replication, and clustering in Informix.
• Managing database security, user roles, object permissions, and access controls.
• Proven experience in 24x7 production support, incident management, and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and scripting skills.
