We’re looking for a Technical Lead – Python/Data (Blockchain & Crypto) to help evolve our platform. You’ll lead the design and delivery of systems that ingest, normalize, and analyze blockchain and cryptocurrency exchange data at scale, while remaining hands-on across Python and the data stack.
What you’ll work on
- High-volume ingestion and normalization of blockchain and crypto exchange data
- Cost basis calculation engine (FIFO / LIFO / HIFO) for digital asset transactions
- Data transformation, enrichment, and reporting for tax and analytics use cases
- Background workers and job orchestration with strong observability
- Azure-native infrastructure with robust security and multi-tenant isolation
- Close collaboration with Product, Data, and Cloud/Infra to shape the technical roadmap
Tech stack
- Backend: Python 3.11, FastAPI-style patterns, background workers
- Data: Pandas, NumPy, openpyxl, Polars (emerging), DuckDB
- Storage: Snowflake (primary), PostgreSQL
- Frontend: ReactJS / AngularJS (nice to have)
- Cloud/Infra: Azure Container Apps, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, Docker

What you’ll do
- Act as Tech Lead for a small team, owning technical direction, architecture, and delivery
- Translate ambiguous product and problem statements into clear technical plans and milestones
- Design and evolve services, APIs, and data models for blockchain and exchange data
- Review code, mentor engineers, and raise the bar on quality, testing, and security
- Own production readiness across logging, metrics, alerting, performance, and reliability
What we’re looking for
Blockchain & Crypto (must-have)
- Hands-on experience building systems that process blockchain and cryptocurrency data
- Familiarity with major chains (e.g. Ethereum, Solana, SUI) and on-chain data models (transactions, logs/events, balances)
- Experience integrating with crypto exchanges, wallets, or custodians (APIs and CSV/Excel ingestion)
- Strong understanding of token standards, swaps, staking, transfers, gas/fees, and their impact on classification, tax, and cost basis

- 5+ years professional Python experience
- Web/API development experience (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)
- Strong Pandas / NumPy skills; multi-exchange CSV/Excel ingestion using openpyxl
- Experience with data modeling and Snowflake-based analytics
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions, containerization with Docker, and Azure services (Container Apps, Key Vault, Entra ID)
Leadership & Engineering Practices
- Prior Tech Lead or Lead Engineer experience on a product, squad, or major initiative
- Strong communication skills with solid design documentation and code review practices
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code) in a disciplined, production-oriented way
