Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a strong background in SysOps and CloudOps to join our engineering team. You will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our current infrastructure on GCP and  Hetzner Dedicated Servers with self-managed Kubernetes clusters.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on building secure, scalable, and cost-effective environments and enjoys the "under-the-hood" challenges of managing bare-metal infrastructure.

• Infrastructure: 4–5 years of experience in IT with deep knowledge of system design and migration efforts.

• GCP: Expert-level knowledge (Org Policies, Projects, IAM, Billing APIs).

• Orchestration: Hands-on experience managing Self-Managed Kubernetes (experience beyond managed services like GKE is required).

• Systems & Networking: Intermediate level of understanding for System Design, Linux administration, and complex networking (DNS, Load Balancing, VPCs).

• DevOps Toolchain: Proficiency with GitLab, CI/CD automation, and monitoring/alerting systems.

• Ops Management: Proven experience in incident management and maintaining production-grade reliability.

• Scripting: Python or Go for automation and internal tool development.

• Certifications: GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, GCP Professional Architect

• Security-First Mindset: Ability to set up secure production environments and guide other teams in achieving the same.

• Collaborative Approach: Ability to work cross-functionally to help other teams achieve their technical goals (e.g., developing hands-on labs).

• Adaptability: Comfortable moving from managed cloud services to dedicated/bare-metal server management.
  
  

• Automation/Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python or Go for building custom internal tools and cleanup scripts.

• Cluster Management: Design, deploy, and maintain self-managed Kubernetes environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

• CI/CD & Automation: Own and optimize our GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, secure code deployments.

• Security & Compliance: Establish and enforce security best practices across production environments, including networking (VPCs, Firewalls) and identity management.

• Lab Sandbox Security: Design secure, isolated sandbox/playground environments with granular access controls, abuse prevention mechanisms, and automated cost guardrails.

• Incident Management: Act as a key responder for infrastructure incidents, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing preventative measures.
