You will define the technical direction for analytics, establish engineering standards, and ensure that metrics and data models are consistent, trusted, and production-ready. The position involves close collaboration with data engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate strategic needs into durable, scalable analytics solutions. You will also mentor and grow a team of data professionals, balancing hands-on review of technical work with leadership and process improvement. Accountabilities
- Lead the Core Analytics team, scaling team size, defining roles, and fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and technical excellence
- Design, implement, and migrate to a next-generation analytics warehouse, including modeling patterns, semantic layers, and metric definitions
- Establish analytics engineering standards, data quality processes, validation practices, and governance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and product requirements into scalable, trusted analytics solutions
- Build data models and semantic layer objects for both exploratory flexibility and production-grade rigor
- Support analytics infrastructure for multiple products and embedded client-facing analytics solutions
- Mentor and develop team members through structured reviews, growth planning, and skills gap management

- 3–5+ years of experience managing senior data professionals
- Hands-on background as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or Data Engineer
- Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives
- Experience in startups or scaling mid-sized businesses
- Advanced SQL and dbt expertise; proficient in Python, Git, and BI/data visualization tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to navigate tradeoffs across correctness, latency, flexibility, and cost
- Nice-to-have: experience with healthcare data (clinical or billing)
- Competitive base salary: $200,000–$220,000 USD
