The Role

We’re hiring an On-Demand IT Support Specialist to provide technical support across three affiliated companies operating within a shared systems environment.


This is a flexible, as-needed role focused on SaaS administration, user access, and MacOS troubleshooting. You’ll be the go-to person when technical issues arise, helping ensure our teams stay productive and our systems remain secure and well-documented.


This is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving a wide range of problems, works independently, and values clean processes and documentation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


User Access & Identity Management

  • Provision and offboard users across multiple organizations and tools
  • Manage permissions, groups, and role-based access
  • Troubleshoot login, MFA, and SSO-related issues


Core Systems Support

Provide administration and troubleshooting for:


  • Google Workspace (Admin Console, Gmail, Drive, user management)
  • Okta (SSO, MFA, provisioning and deprovisioning)
  • Slack (workspace management, permissions, integrations)
  • 1Password (vault access, onboarding, security best practices)


MacOS End-User Support


  • Support a fully Mac-based team
  • Troubleshoot system settings, permissions, software conflicts, and performance issues
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Create and maintain clear internal IT documentation
  • Document recurring issues and standardized solutions
  • Recommend improvements to access management, security practices, and workflows


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


Required


Experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration


Hands-on admin experience with:

  • Google Workspace
  • Okta (or similar identity provider)
  • Slack administration
  • 1Password or other enterprise password managers
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a MacOS environment
  • Solid understanding of SSO, MFA, and SaaS security best practices
  • Excellent written communication and documentation habits
  • Reliable and responsive during business hours


Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting multiple business entities or environments
  • Experience in remote-first organizations
  • Familiarity with SaaS integrations and workflow automation
  • Basic understanding of security and compliance practices for growing companies


Work Style


  • Fully remote
  • Ad-hoc support as issues arise (not a fixed weekly help desk shift)
  • Ideal for an independent IT consultant or part-time systems administrator
  • Quick response times during standard U.S. business hours strongly preferred
