Job Description
Prestigious opportunity for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with a market leading Energy Solutions provider based in Liverpool. Following a period of significant growth and transformation, we are inviting you to join our success story! Offering you the ability to work fully remotely if preferred, we design, build, own and operate on‑site generation and efficiency projects to help energy‑intensive manufacturers cut costs and carbon emissions.
As our Automation Test Engineer helping drive the quality, reliability and ongoing development of our internal energy platform and its associated web and API services. You will be responsible for:-
- Taking full ownership of the testing approach
- Developing, maintaining and executing test scripts for automated and manual testing across the platform.
- Building and maintaining automated UI tests for our Blazor (SSR/WASM) web platform using Selenium or equivalent tools.
- Developing and executing automated API tests (eg. using Postman).
- Perform manual and exploratory testing where required.
- Defining and leading the overall testing approach, identifying and prioritising improvements.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, maintaining and extending pipelines.
- Raising clear, structured defects in Azure DevOps and tracking them through to resolution.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of testing practices.

If you are an experienced Automation Test Engineer with a combination of the following skills, then LETS TALK!
- Experience building automated tests using Selenium or similar tools.
- Strong scripting skills across both automated and manual testing.
- API testing experience (Postman or similar).
- Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps test plans, test runs, defect tracking and CI/CD.
- Clear documentation and reporting skills.
- Collaborative working style and ability to constructively challenge.
- Detail‑focused, practical approach with strong ownership and follow‑through.
- Blazor application testing (SSR/WASM) is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience working in CI/CD‑driven environments.
