Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a major financial services organisation on a long-term contract. You will work within a highly regulated environment, contributing to the automation, deployment, and support of containerised platforms and cloud-native services, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation using Ansible
- Develop and maintain scripts and tooling in Python
- Support and operate containerised platforms using Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot workloads using the OpenShift CLI
- Collaborate closely with platform, security, and development teams to improve CI/CD and operational processes
- Contribute to platform stability, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in a DevOps engineering role
- Proven expertise with Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Solid Python development or scripting experience
- Practical experience working with Kubernetes environments
- Experience using OpenShift and the OpenShift CLI in production
- Comfortable working in regulated or enterprise environments (financial services experience is desirable)
