VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer

A large global brand are seeking a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Engineer who is responsible for the design, engineering, deployment, and lifecycle management of VMware Cloud Foundation platforms across lab and production environments, supporting multi‑site private cloud and edge deployments.

This role focuses on VCF 9.x engineering, including vSphere, vSAN (OSA/ESA), NSX, SDDC Manager, VCF Operations, VCF Automation, and associated networking, security, backup, and DR integrations.

This is a 100% remote working position.

The will be a 12 months+ contract with the possibility for multiple extensions.

• Design and engineer VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x environments, including:
• Management Domains and VI Workload Domains
• Stretched and non‑stretched cluster designs
• Lab and production topologies
• Produce and maintain High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs covering compute, storage, network, and security domains, aligned to approved standards
• Define VCF Operations deployment models (single‑node vs HA) based on availability and scale requirements
• Deployment & Build Execution
• vSAN & Storage Engineering
• Networking, Security & RBAC
• Lifecycle Management & Operations

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands‑on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation 9 (VCF 9)
• vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS)
• vSAN (OSA and ESA)
• SDDC Manager and lifecycle operations
• NSX (Edge, Transport Nodes)
• Experience designing and deploying multi‑site private cloud environments
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, ECMP)
• Automation experience using PowerCLI
