As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you'll combine technical excellence with operational ownership, designing, automating, and maintaining systems that keep the company running.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join the CIT Engineering Team at Trade Republic. In this role, you will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of our global enterprise MDM (Jamf Pro) and IAM (Okta) environments, while also administering and optimizing our Atlassian suite (Jira, Jira Service Management) and AWS Workspace infrastructure. You'll play a key part in automating processes, strengthening security posture, and ensuring scalability across our global environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Automate and Secure: Assess, optimize, and automate our Jamf Pro environment, leveraging Bash/Python scripting and APIs for large-scale deployments, patch management, and macOS security compliance.
- Build automation pipelines and workflows to improve operational efficiency using CI/CD tools, Git, and GitHub for version control and change management.
- Administer and Integrate: Manage and extend our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem (Jira, Jira Service Management) , including custom workflows, automation rules, permissions, notifications, and integrations with external systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles to ensure operational consistency and cross-team transparency.
- Architect and Enhance: Design and implement secure, scalable identity and access management solutions using Okta, including SSO, MFA, and Okta Workflows, integrated with enterprise directories and SaaS platforms.
- Develop and optimize AWS Workspaces, EC2, and supporting AWS services to enhance endpoint availability, performance, and security.

- You have 3-5 years of experience in IT Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, or a related field within a fast-paced, cloud-first environment.
- Proven expertise managing Apple ecosystems (macOS, iOS), including Apple Business Manager, Jamf Pro, and endpoint security best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Okta administration (SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, workflows) and Google Workspace integrations.
- Experience administering Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Jira Service Management) including project configuration, workflow design, permissions, dashboards, and automation etc.
- Solid scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash) with experience integrating systems via APIs.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub for code versioning, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.
