Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Kubernetes Engineer to join our team and work directly with one of our key clients, a leader in the HealthTech sector. For the right candidate with the necessary skills and experience, we are pleased to offer 482 visa sponsorship. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our client's Kubernetes infrastructure. You will work closely with their development and operations teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of their containerised applications, building robust, automated systems that enable continuous delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Collaboration & Implementation: Work as a trusted expert within the client’s team to architect, deploy, and maintain their highly available and scalable Kubernetes clusters.
  • Automation: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the client's application deployment, scaling, and management processes.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for the Kubernetes platform and application performance within the client's environment.
  • Security: Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including network policies, secrets management, and access controls (RBAC) in close consultation with the client’s security and compliance teams to handle sensitive patient data.
  • Optimisation: Continuously optimise resource utilisation and costs within the client's Kubernetes environment, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilise tools like Terraform or Ansible to automate the client's infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) tailored to the client's needs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Kubernetes infrastructure, processes, and best practises for the client's internal teams.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Kubernetes Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong focus on Kubernetes. Experience in a client-facing or consultancy role is highly desirable.
  • Containerisation: In-depth knowledge of containerisation technologies, especially Docker.
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes core concepts, including Pods, Services, Deployments, and StatefulSets.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their managed Kubernetes services (e.g., EKS, GKE, AKS).
  • CI/CD: Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Networking: A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, and ingress controllers.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience and collaborate effectively with both our team and the client’s.

Benefits
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
  • Familiarity with service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
  • Experience with GitOps principles and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Knowledge of distributed storage solutions and persistent volumes.
