Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain secure network architectures, including VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, routing, and DNS

Apply best practices for IAM, secrets management, and access controls, supporting HIPAA, SOC2, and other compliance requirements
Participate in infrastructure incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation efforts
Collaborate with engineering and product teams while maintaining clear ownership of operational concerns
Drive improvements in operational reliability through automation, standardization, and documentation

This role offers an opportunity to manage and enhance cloud infrastructure supporting critical healthcare-related systems, including EHR integrations and secure data workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure infrastructure is reliable, observable, and compliant with healthcare regulations. The position requires strong operational expertise, a focus on stability, and experience with Infrastructure as Code, containerized workloads, and cloud environments. You will design, deploy, and maintain systems that support secure and auditable operations, while participating in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Accountabilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Manage infrastructure supporting EHR integrations, healthcare data exchange workflows, and regulated applications
  • Operate Docker-based workloads, including image lifecycle management and security patching
  • Design and maintain secure network architectures, including VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, routing, and DNS

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, systems, or operations engineering
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
  • Solid experience with Docker and containerized workloads
  • Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure and networking, including VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, and routing
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, ThousandEyes, or equivalent
  • Experience operating infrastructure in regulated or security-sensitive environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain infrastructure decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Operations-first mindset with a focus on reliability, stability, and correctness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting EHR integrations or healthcare platforms
  • Familiarity with HL7 or healthcare messaging workflows
