Cleared NOC Network Engineer Tier 3 Supervisor
Location: Lorton, VA (relocation assistance available)
Position Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Senior NOC Network Engineer (Tier 3) Supervisor to support and manage critical network operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on network expert who can handle advanced troubleshooting, lead incident response, and mentor a technical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the highest escalation point for complex network issues
- Lead resolution of major network outages and high-impact incidents
- Monitor and analyze network performance to improve stability and efficiency
- Design, deploy, and maintain network solutions and upgrades
- Work closely with architects and engineering teams on network planning
- Support the rollout of new network technologies
- Train, mentor, and guide Tier 1 and Tier 2 NOC staff
- Ensure compliance with network security standards and policies
- Maintain accurate network documentation
- Participate in on-call support and emergency response

Team Leadership & Contract Support
- Provide on-site supervision and mentoring
- Manage team time tracking and forecasting
- Support business development efforts
- Handle required weekly and monthly communications with the Prime contractor
- Assist with monthly invoicing to ensure accurate customer billing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or operations
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VPNs
- Experience with enterprise networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
- Skilled in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Solid understanding of network security practices
- Proven experience leading incident response and resolving complex issues
- Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, hybrid) is a plus
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar are preferred
