Platform and DevSecOps Engineer

I am recruiting for a suitably experienced Platform & DevSecOps Engineer, with at least 4 years experience, for out client within the Telco industry.

You will be required to start immediately or within one week.

You will have a structured methodological approach to lead a Data Science team in developing a Platform‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) solution.

This is a B2B full time contract role, fully remote.

Platform and DevSecOps Engineer (4+ Years Experience)

Contract Length: Contract though to end of March 2026 - Likely extension

Day Rate: 350.00 Euros per Day

Language: English fluent mandatory (C1 minimum)

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownerships

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure with a focus on GCP (Google Cloud Platform). Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a preference for Terraform.
• Build, automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tools for different platform, pipelines and applications to achieve deployments and operations automation ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
• Act as subject matter expert for support teams, project team, demand team and integrators to ensure that requirements are understood, documented, and delivered to a high standard.
• Containerization & Helm: Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration for scalable applications utilizing Helm and/or ArgoCD.
• Drives improvements in day to day operations and engineering activities of the tools and automation team applying DevOps principles and best practices to improve deployment cycles and system reliability
• Develop functional and sustainable services & applications with clean code

Core Competencies, knowledge and experience

• Excellent knowledge of Devops Tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GCP, Kubernetes and running dockerized services on top of it, Linux/System administration, and “Infrastructure as Code” using Terraform.
• Design, configuration, optimisation and administration of IT and network service management tools and related software and hardware like CI/CD E2E pipeline
• Ability to build and optimize business services, business processes and IT services modelling
• Understanding of Incident Management, Change Management, Capacity and Performance Management ITIL, DevSecOps disciplines with strong proficiency in developing complex automation.
• Very good knowledge and understanding of Networking, Databases, DNS, proxies & Security.

Must have technical & professional qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role with a proven track record of successful projects..
• Technical knowledge of GCP, Linux, and CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins,GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps) and implementation.
• Infrastructure Automation (IaC): Experience with tools such as Terraform and Ansible for automating cloud infrastructure.
• DevSecOps & SaaS Governance: Secure software development practices and policy-as-code frameworks (e.g., GitHub Advanced Security, shift-left security).
• Advanced experience with Terraform for complex infrastructure setups.
• Proven experience in system administration and service automation.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Bash; ability to develop complex automation scripts.
• Strong communication Skills, Oral and Written.
• Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and implementing devops pipelines and tools.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including setting up and managing clusters.
• Demonstrated experience developing system integration and automation capability to improve operational response time and accuracy in diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate system efficiency, develop system performance metrics, and drive continual process improvement of IT/network management systems.
• Monitored clusters, cloud resources, and apps using Prometheus, Datadog, and Elasticsearch.
• Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Good knowledge of backup/recovery, disaster recovery, vulnerability, and patch management.
