Senior Embedded Real-time Software Engineer | Tucson, Arizona, United States | Hybrid | $82,000-$164,000 USD yearly


We're working with Raytheon on this exciting opportunity. This role focuses on architecting and developing embedded real-time software for critical autonomous avionics and other mission-critical applications. The Role

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real-time software.

• Work with heterogeneous systems including firmware (FPGA) and hardware.

• Collaborate within cross-disciplinary Agile/IPT environments.

• Mentor and coach less experienced software engineers.

• Contribute to design reviews and proposals for advanced systems.

• Develop software for edge or embedded devices where time-critical function and mission assurance are key.


What You'll Need

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a STEM degree.

• Experience with embedded C++ software, embedded software security, or software architecture design.

• Proficiency with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like Green Hills, Integrity, or VxWorks.

• Demonstrated experience in developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.

• Active and transferable U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required.

• Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, firmware source (VHDL/Verilog), and using lab instruments for debug.
