Job Description
About Upway
At Upway, we are making electric mobility accessible to everyone. We are looking for high intelligence, high energy and high integrity people to join us on an exciting journey and reshape mobility with us.
Our mission is to make e-bikes the norm, redefining how the world moves. As the global leading platform for certified pre-owned and refurbished e-bikes, we proudly serve customers across nine countries, including France, Germany and the US.
We are an international company and operate from Paris, Antwerp, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and New York. In just three years, we achieved a fast paced growth, ambitious expansion and secured $120M+ from leading investors, including Sequoia, Exor Seed, Korelya Capital & GFC.
Upway is the leading platform for buying and selling refurbished e-bikes across Europe and the United States. Our mission is to make electric mobility accessible to everyone, by offering the largest selection of refurbished e-bikes at the best value.
We’re hiring entrepreneurial Product Managers to join our Product & Tech team in Paris.
This is not a narrowly scoped PM role. You will operate with significant autonomy and shape long-term vision.
What you may work on
At Upway, Product & Tech doesn't just ship features. We're building a new infrastructure for the circular e-bike economy. Our products touch every part of the lifecycle:
- Supply (sourcing e-bikes). Build products for individual e-bike owners selling their bike, and for 5,000+ merchants using our B2B app. The challenge: make Upway the default choice for anyone selling an e-bike, from a single rider to a shop moving hundreds of units.
- UpCenter Operations (refurbishing at scale). Our proprietary platform powers every step of operations across 7 UpCenters: logistics, repairs, quality control, photography, storage, shipping, and more. We’re scaling fast and investing heavily in automation, workflows, and operator tools.
- Commerce (selling bikes, and beyond). Over 1M visitors come to our store each month. You’ll work on trust, education, comparison, and guidance tools that make buying a refurbished e-bike intuitive and reliable, and shape the full ownership journey, from purchase to resale.

What you will do
As a PM at Upway, your job is to discover the biggest problems worth solving, build the vision to solve them, and execute relentlessly to make it real.
- You'll be obsessed with understanding the world around you.
You'll spend time in our UpCenters watching mechanics refurbish bikes. You'll visit bike shops and talk to merchants. You'll interview customers who've never bought an e-bike before. You won't delegate this, because you have to understand the problem at a deep, intuitive level.
- You'll build bold, creative visions for your product area.
Not incremental improvements, but transformative ideas that change the game. You'll think 3+ years out and work backward to define what we should build now. You'll use intuition, judgment, and data to build strong convictions, and you'll rally engineers, designers, and stakeholders behind your vision.
- You'll make hard calls with incomplete information.
You won't wait for perfect data or consensus. You'll make the right bets, move fast, and iterate based on what you learn. You'll own outcomes, not outputs.
- You'll work with software engineers to build it.
You'll collaborate closely with our engineering team to turn your vision into reality.

Who you are
We're looking for entrepreneurial product builders with a track record of creating products in ambiguous, high-growth environments.
Here's what that means:
- Experience. Typically 5+ years in Product Management roles. You’ve ideally experienced early-stage startups, 0→1 product development, or high-growth scale-up environments. We welcome early PMs / Designers / Engineers who led product direction, or staff / principal PMs.
- Entrepreneurial thinker. You're insatiably curious and have a bias for action. If understanding something requires traveling to Berlin tomorrow to meet mechanics, you book the ticket. You've built products in ambiguous environments where no one told you what to do. You don't shrink your ideas because of constraints, and think big by default.
- Vision and judgement. You build strong convictions based on intuition and data, not just linear logic. You have a track record of making big bets that paid off.
- Analytical. You think in KPIs and know your targets, use data to validate intuition (not hide behind it), and are comfortable with SQL or motivated to learn quickly.
- International experience. You've built products for multiple markets or scaled internationally, you're excited to work with teams across many countries. French is not required.
What makes Upway different
We're building an international team in Paris. Product & Tech is headquartered in Paris, but we're assembling a global team of builders. We sponsor visas and offer relocation support. You'll work with talented people from around the world who've chosen to be here because they believe in the mission.
We think long-term, but ship fast. We use Shape Up to stay focused on what matters. You'll have autonomy to shape your product area, but you'll move with urgency.
You'll own a vertical, not a feature. We're hiring PMs to lead major verticals. You won't be scoped to a narrow slice, but instead own outcomes for an entire domain.
You'll work on a product that matters. E-bikes are the future of urban mobility. You'll help millions of people access affordable, sustainable transportation.
