Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our FinTech team and help design, build, and scale high-quality global software solutions that handle high-volume payment processing and fund distribution. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, finance, compliance, engineering peers, and QA partners to drive technical initiatives and ensure money flows reliably, securely, and on time across the platform meeting or exceeding strict performance and regulatory standards.
This role is ideal for engineers who are innovative and growth-minded, while also having a strong appreciation for financial regulations, controls, and operational rigor.
WHAT YOULL DO
As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable systems for processing payments, scheduling payouts, and reconciling transactions.
- Ensure funds distribution occurs on time and at scale, supported by strong SLAs, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and Product teams to build features that meet regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements.
- Integrate with third-party payment processors, banks, and financial networks (ACH, wire transfers, card processors, digital wallets).
- Architect systems with a focus on auditability, security, fault tolerance, and resiliency across distributed services.
- Implement and enhance automated reconciliation, ledgering, and financial reporting pipelines.
- Lead technical discussions related to scalability, reliability, and fraud prevention in payment systems.
- Work closely with internal and external integration partners, participate in code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and operational workflows for financial systems.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of experience building backend systems, with at least 2 years operating in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET (Web API), and SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with payment processing, banking integrations, or financial transaction platforms.
- Deep understanding of databases and transactional integrity (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL systems).
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and schedulers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.
- Knowledge of payment security and compliance standards (PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, finance, compliance, and business teams.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
BONUS POINTS
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular.
- Mobile development experience (.NET MAUI, Objective-C, Android, etc.).
- Hands-on work with ACH, SEPA, card networks, or real-time payment rails.
- Background in ledgering systems, accounting workflows, or treasury operations.
- Familiarity with fraud detection, monitoring, and risk mitigation strategies.
