A consumer-facing services company is seeking a Vice President of Brand Marketing to lead brand growth and top-of-funnel demand generation. This is a net-new leadership role designed for a consumer marketer who thrives in lean environments and knows how to build awareness, trust, and demand for a service that requires education.
This role will be responsible for elevating the brand, expanding consumer awareness, and driving meaningful traffic and lead generation through compelling storytelling, positioning, advertising, and education.
Location: Houston, TX
- (Greenway Plaza, in-office)

Key Responsibilities
Brand & Consumer Marketing Leadership
- Own and evolve the brand strategy, voice, and market positioning
- Act as a consumer advocate, ensuring messaging is clear, educational, and trust-building
- Lead efforts to educate the market on the service and the broader landscape it operates in
Demand Generation & Top-of-Funnel Growth
- Drive top-of-funnel growth through brand-led demand generation initiatives
- Increase website traffic, inbound interest, and qualified leads
- Develop campaigns that create step-change awareness (not incremental gains)
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and develop the marketing organization, partnering closely with the Director of Marketing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, operations, analytics, and internal stakeholders
- Provide direction and oversight to junior marketing resources via the Director

Budget Ownership & Resource Allocation
- Own and manage the marketing budget
- Make disciplined, high-impact allocation decisions in a constrained budget environment
- Partner with leadership to justify and plan for future budget expansion
Strategic Planning, Execution & Partner Management
- Translate business goals into clear marketing strategies and execution plans
- Balance long-term brand building with near-term demand generation
- Build processes that scale with the business while maintaining agility
- Manage outsourced partners/agencies (e.g., SEO, SEM, digital, content, creative, etc.) and define what should be insourced vs. outsourced over time
- Own prioritization and coordination of website/IT development requests tied to marketing needs
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- Proven B2C / consumer marketing leader, ideally in a service-based business
- Track record building and scaling a brand that requires consumer education and trust
- Comfortable operating in a “build it” environment with imperfect data and limited resources
- Tenure matters less than impact and ownership
Skill Set
- Strong brand strategy, positioning, and storytelling capabilities
- Demonstrated success driving top-of-funnel growth and awareness in B2C organizations
- Strategic thinker who can also execute and drive outcomes
- Confident leader and coach who elevates the team around them
- Comfortable partnering directly with executive leadership
