Salary
£32,000-£40,000 depending on experience, plus £3-5,000 per year performance-related bonus.

Role Summary
We are seeking a talented, friendly and ambitions events marketing professional to join our friendly team for the long term. You are likely either in an events marketing manager role or looking to make the step up from your current position as an events marketing assistant/executive.
The successful candidate will work on two of the most exciting, innovative large-scale life sciences events in the world (including the UK’s largest life sciences event), as well as some smaller, senior-level meetups and digital products. Your principal focus will be on events.
As we are a small team, this role suits someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, who is willing to contribute to a range of marketing tasks, including sourcing and managing data, writing and editing copy, creating and populating design assets, creating and sending emails, and working cross-functionally with our science writing, production and sales teams. You will also contribute towards the shaping and execution of our marketing strategy and marketing plans.

Location
This is a remote role, although you must be able to travel to London for one day per month, and travel to our two large events (London and Boston). You must be based in the UK, with a legal right to work in the UK.

The Role:
The main elements of this role are as follows:
- Execute against marketing strategies and plans. Input into the marketing strategy, help build and execute marketing plans for the Festivals, meetups, reports, webinars and related products.
- Research and manage data. Research to onboard new data into our database and manage data within our CRM (currently HubSpot), as well as process leads for clients, complying at all times with GDPR.
- Create and populate design assets. Using Canva, you will create marketing assets and work with the production team to ensure they are correctly populated for our social media campaigns.
- Copywriting, editing and proofing. Writing, editing and proofing copy for marketing material, including emails, websites, social media and other marketing documents.
- Leveraging powerful marketing software. Management, maintenance, use and optimization of our marketing CRM/CMS, HubSpot, and other related systems, to achieve marketing objectives.
- Social media. Manage social media accounts, write, edit and schedule posts. Creating design assets to support the marketing of our products. Manage paid campaigns and PPC across LinkedIn and Google Ads.
- Marketing analytics. To help monitor the performance of marketing activities and gather insights to suggest and implement performance improvements.
- Build and nurture external relationships. To help initiate and maintain relationships with regular marketing/media partners and implement new distribution channels to communicate with our audience.
- Event websites: To work on the build of websites and web pages, and help maintain event websites. Coding experience is not necessary.

- Secure attendees for senior meetups. Work closely with our production team to secure attendees for a range of senior-level meetups taking place throughout the year.
- Support events. To help in the running of our Festivals on site, including registration and conducting onsite marketing activities. International travel will be required (USA).
- All-hands-on-deck. As a small business, everyone in the team – from the CEO down - is expected to contribute to a variety of tasks from time to time, including those that are not in your job description – this role is no exception.

Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 18 months of event marketing experience withing B2B events for a B2B events organiser. Experience of working on life sciences events is a plus. Digital marketing experience is also a plus.
- Attention to detail. This is critical. Occasional mistakes will happen, but you will have an eye for detail in every aspect of your role.
- Writing and editing. Good writing skills and a strong attention to detail when proofing and editing.

Other Information
- Holiday: A total of 33-34 days per year, including 25 days of bookable annual leave, plus 8 public holidays, plus your birthday (upon completion of your probationary period).
- Pension: Contributory group pension scheme upon three months of employment.
- Remote working: You will work remotely, with just 1 day per month in London (you will need to travel to London at your own expense for monthly meetups).
- Event travel required. To both London and Boston Festivals.
- Flexible working. Our core hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm, but you can adjust your working hours to suit your personal preference/schedule, where possible (e.g., working 8.00am to 4.30pm).
