Job Description
Job Description: IT Manager (Web, OTT, Cybersecurity & AI Ops) โ Remote (India)
Company: Knowledge Networks
Platform Portfolio: Websites across initiatives + OTT
Location: Remote
Type: Full-time
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, security-minded IT Manager to own and operate our end-to-end technology environmentโwebsites, OTT platform operations, hosting, cybersecurity, email, SaaS applications, identity access, vendor management, and IT supportโacross multiple initiatives. This person will also bring AI fluency and implement AI agents/workflows to automate operations, improve responsiveness, and reduce risk.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who can balance reliability + security + speed, and who communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1) Portfolio Ownership: Websites + Hosting + Performance
- Own uptime, performance, backups, versioning, and change management across all web properties.
- Manage hosting environments (cloud/VPS/managed hosting), DNS, SSL/TLS, CDN, caching, WAF, and domain portfolio hygiene.
- Establish a lightweight release process (dev/stage/prod), rollback plans, and documentation.
- Monitor site health (uptime, errors, latency), implement alerts, and resolve incidents quickly.
- Manage OTT infrastructure and vendor ecosystem (CMS, streaming pipeline, CDN, player integrations, analytics).
- Ensure platform availability, security posture, DRM/asset protection where applicable, and performance optimization.
- Coordinate app/feature updates, QA checks, and incident response across vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain operational dashboards and monthly reliability reports.
- Own security baselines for endpoints, domains, hosting, SaaS tools, and admin accounts.
- Implement/maintain: MFA, SSO (where possible), password management, least-privilege access, and periodic access reviews.
- Establish incident response playbooks: phishing, credential compromise, website defacement, DDoS, data leakage, ransomware.
- Run routine vulnerability management: patching cadence, scanning, penetration testing coordination, and remediation tracking.
- Strengthen email security: SPF/DKIM/DMARC, anti-phishing training, monitoring and enforcement.
- Administer Google Workspace/Microsoft 365 (as applicable), shared mailboxes, groups, permissions, and retention policies.
- Manage endpoint security and device hygiene for remote teams (laptops, mobile access, remote wipe policies).
- Provide Tier-1/2 support (or manage vendors): onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning, troubleshooting, SOPs.
- Own a portfolio of tools across initiatives (CRM, webinar tools, podcast tools, project management, finance, analytics, etc.).
- Manage procurement, renewals, licenses, and vendor SLAs; reduce tool sprawl and cost.
- Maintain a central inventory: domains, hosting, credentials vault, integrations, billing owners, renewal dates.
- Identify repetitive operational tasks and implement AI agents/automations safely (with clear guardrails, audit logs, and human-in-the-loop controls).
- Examples may include:
- Automated triage of support tickets and security alerts.
- Website uptime monitoring + auto-incident summaries + suggested remediation steps.
- Content ops assistants (metadata tagging, publishing checklists, broken-link detection).
- Vendor invoice/reconciliation automation and renewal alerts.
- Standardized onboarding/offboarding assistants across initiatives.
- Drafting/maintaining SOPs and technical documentation from runbooks.
- Ensure AI systems follow data security and privacy best practices (no secrets in prompts, secure connectors, access controls).
