Job Description
Title: Amazon Connect Engineer
Location: Fully Remote - must be based in the US
Type: Contract, 12-months+
Pay Range: $60-90/hr

Our client is seeking a talented Amazon Connect Engineer to assist in the design, build, and scale of their cloud-native contact center solution. This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, cloud engineering, and DevOps, owning the platforms that power high-volume, mission-critical customer interactions.
You'll play a key role inmodernizing contactcenter technology, migrating legacy platforms to Amazon Connect, and building secure, automated, and highly integrated solutions that support voice, outbound campaigns, real-timeanalytics, and third-party systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the design & build of their Amazon Connect environment including contact flows, queues, routing profiles, hours of operation, and security models
- Participate in migrations from legacy contact center platforms (e.g., Genesys, Cisco) to Amazon Connect
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules to automate AWS infrastructure and Connect deployments
- Build and integrate AWS Lambda functions (Python/Node.js) to support workflows, APIs, and event-driven processing
- Design and implement outbound campaigns, broadcasting solutions, and Content Lens integrations
- Configure Kinesis streams for real-time contact trace records, agent events, and media streaming
- Implement secure cross-account integrations using IAM roles, policies, and VPC endpoints
- Integrate Amazon Connect with third-party platforms (e.g., analytics, fraud detection, data platforms)

Skilled Needed:
- 5+ years of hands-on telephony engineering & configuration experience
- 2+ years specializing in Amazon Connect
- Strong experience designing and maintaining Terraform-based infrastructure
- Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, IAM, VPC, Kinesis, S3, Secrets Manager, KMS, and EventBridge
- Strong programming skills in Python, along with JSON and workflow scripting
- Proven ability to operate in DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
