Job Title: Associate Cybersecurity Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to assist our Information Security organization. This role is fully remote, and candidates must be located in EST or CST time zones. As a key member of our team, you will work to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems in our core systems and platforms. You will be tasked with vigilant monitoring of all security activities on our network and maintaining oversight of the robust security infrastructure that facilitates these operations. Collaborating with a team of cybersecurity engineers, you will spearhead efforts to prevent and remediate cybersecurity incidents through continuous optimization of policies, rules, and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and manage enterprise-grade firewall solutions, including next-generation firewalls (NGFW).
- Monitor and configure Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) implementations.
- Understand and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Leverage Microsoft Security Suite tools to detect, investigate, and respond to security threats.
- Develop technical procedures, policies, and processes aligned with industry best practices.
- Recommend remediation measures to enhance overall security posture.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, network security engineering, security operations, or related fields.
- Proficiency in managing NGFW firewalls and modern cloud-based security controls such as SASE and ZTNA.
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including centralized identity platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, and other security tools.
- Ability to convey complex security concepts in an understandable manner.
