Security Engineer

A fast-growing SaaS scale-up is looking for a Security Engineer to join its expanding Security function at a pivotal stage of growth.

As the Security Engineer, you’ll help design, implement and improve the technical controls that protect cloud infrastructure, applications and data. Security is embedded into the engineering culture, so you’ll collaborate daily with developers and DevOps teams to strengthen secure configurations, monitoring and secure development practices across a modern AWS environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who wants real ownership, exposure to modern tooling and the chance to grow with the business. You’ll be involved in deploying and tuning security tooling, supporting incident investigations, shifting left, and maintaining compliance with ISO 27001. You should have previous security engineering experience with good AWS knowledge.

The organisation is fully remote, values collaboration, and offers genuine progression as the security function continues to scale. Training and certifications are supported.

Base salary up to £43,500 depending on experience + share options. You can work remotely from either the UK or Portugal and must have the right to work in the country you are based in. Remote working from countries other than the UK or Portugal isn't possible and there is no visa sponsorship available.
