About The Role

We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Data Engineer cohort starting in April 2026. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those looking to break into the tech industry or elevate their existing technical skills in data engineering. As a Data Engineer, you will undergo comprehensive training, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and tools used in data management and analysis. The position involves working on real-world client projects, developing data pipelines, and collaborating with experienced professionals to solve complex data problems. This is an ideal role for individuals with a foundational knowledge of programming and a passion for learning, who are eager to build a career in data engineering and contribute to impactful data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong willingness to relocate anywhere within the continental United States and possess the legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or possess equivalent professional experience. A minimum of six months of programming experience—highlighted through academic coursework, personal projects, or previous employment—in languages such as Python, Java, SQL, C, C#, JavaScript, R, or similar is required. Additionally, candidates should have either recently earned a STEM degree or have at least 12 months of professional work experience in industries like finance, healthcare, insurance, or technology. Strong logical reasoning, effective communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Participants in this program will undergo intensive training over 3-4 months, focusing on developing core technical skills necessary for data engineering. Responsibilities include mastering relational and non-relational databases, APIs, and programming languages such as Python, Pandas, and SQL. Trainees will learn to build and optimize data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Airflow, and Apache Spark, along with gaining foundational knowledge in machine learning. Throughout the program, individuals will work on real client projects, applying their skills to solve practical data challenges. Mentorship from senior engineers will be provided to guide technical development and professional growth. Post-training, participants will continue to gain client project experience for up to two years, contributing to data solutions that support organizational decision-making. The role also involves continuous learning, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adapting to evolving project requirements.

Benefits

Genesis10 offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional development of its employees. Participants will receive paid training, earning $600 per week during the initial 3-4 months of skill-building. The program includes mentorship from experienced engineers and access to industry-leading tools and resources. Relocation assistance of up to $2,500 is provided to facilitate a smooth transition to your new work location. The role offers an hourly pay rate of $24.04 (approximately $50,000 annually) or $28.85 (approximately $60,000 annually), depending on the assigned location. Employees will benefit from extensive health coverage, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as participation in a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. Genesis10 emphasizes professional growth, offering ongoing support through a dedicated manager who helps navigate corporate culture and career advancement opportunities.
