About Catawiki
Catawiki was founded in 2008. It was originally designed as a website where collectors could manage and keep track of their collections online. Visitors can still add new items to the existing catalogue of collectibles. Unsurprisingly, the name Catawiki is a combination of the words ‘catalogue’ and ‘wiki’. In 2011, Catawiki began hosting weekly auctions in various categories, including art, antiques, classic cars, watches, jewellery, fashion, books, and stamps.
Position
Here at Catawiki, you will make an impact by improving and delivering product innovations for the Catawiki platform. Along with other Engineering team members, you will build beautiful and adaptable native mobile app features on top of scalable microservices. These serve both our sellers and our buyers. You'll ensure that your features work well on all recent iOS and iPadOS devices, and recent OS versions. You keep track of system performance, and optimise it where needed.
In addition, you will use A/B experiments, agreed upon with your Product Manager and User Experience Designer, and backed by data analysis, to add product features and deliver the best user experience on the platform.

- You possess a "Growth Mindset" in which you take the initiative to further your personal skill set as a Software Developer, whether by learning new skills and/or technologies or by seeking new opportunities.
- You have an "Experimental Mindset" too: we value a test-and-learn approach - validate ideas quickly, iterate based on insights, and don’t be afraid to discard what doesn’t work. Once validated, we build for the long term with scalability and maintainability in mind.
