Data Engineer - Snowflake (W2 only)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a snowflake developer for a financial services client. This role is Contract to Hire(C2H). A candidate will be on the client's W2. A candidate with Financial Services industry experience will be preferred over others!

Visa Status:

• USC/GC/EAD Only

Location:

Coppell, Texas, United States - Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)

Contract duration: 6 Months C2H

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Data Management and specialized in Analytical data warehouse.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Warehouse and its features.
• Good knowledge of cloud AWS architecture and its services.
• Experience in creating and analyzing SQL and PL/SQL procedures for data integration.
• Developing ETL pipelines in and out of the data warehouse using a combination of Python and Snowflake SQL. Developing scripts using Unix shell to Extract and Load data.
• Good understanding of logical and physical data models to support analytics and business intelligence.
• Experience in creating SQL-based processes to build slowly changing dimensions and various types of facts.
• Experience in Data Lineage Analysis, Data Profiling Mapping Integration, ETL Validation Cleansing Masking Sub setting, Profiling Archiving, Purging Virtualization, Metadata Management, Performing Unit Test, System integration test Support, UAT.
• Involve SQL performance tuning, Root causing failures, and bifurcating them into different technical issues and resolving them.
• Engaged in a project using Agile methodology and documentation using Jira
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Education level: Bachelor’s degree

Skills: Data Management, Snowflake cloud warehouse, ETL pipelines in and out of data warehouse, Python and Snowflake SQL, scripts using Unix shell, Data Lineage Analysis, Data Profiling Mapping Integration, ETL Validation Cleansing Masking Subsetting.
