Avanciers is a premier IT Staffing/Consulting organization and we are currently recruiting for a contract role for one of our premier client in Canada for Security Engineer.
This is a Remote role and client is actively hiring for this position.
Role Overview: Security Engineer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months +
Rate: $60/hr - $80/hr (depending on experience)
Security Requirement
- Valid Secret-level security clearance is mandatory.

Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a software development environment with demonstrated expertise in:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Proven experience navigating the Government of Canada Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) process for at least two (2) cloud-based applications developed within the past five (5) years.
- At least two (2) years of experience within the past five (5) years implementing automated security scanning and security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience applying modern application security principles to custom software solutions released within the past three (3) years.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure
- We use AI-enabled tools to assist in screening applications based on job-related criteria.
