Application Solution Architect (AWS)

Position Requires a Person to be On-site in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. (Relocation is required)

Role Summary

We are looking for an Application Solution Architect to support pre-sales and application modernization initiatives on AWS. This is a client-facing role where you will help customers modernize legacy applications into cloud-native solutions, define technical roadmaps, and support the sales process with strong technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

• Work with customers to understand business needs, technical challenges, and modernization goals
• Design high-level AWS architectures and future-state solutions
• Support RFP/RFI responses, including technical documentation, SOWs, and effort estimates
• Build and present Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and solution demos

Application Modernization

• Guide customers through application modernization strategies using the AWS 6Rs
• Design approaches to modernize monolithic applications into microservices
• Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, EKS, and ECS

Technical Leadership

• Define phased migration and modernization roadmaps
• Provide guidance on DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation best practices
• Communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and engineering teams

Required Experience & Skills

• 8–12+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years as a Solution Architect
• Hands-on experience modernizing legacy applications (Java, .NET, Mainframe)
• Strong experience designing AWS-based solutions

Certifications

• Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Security – Specialty
