Job Location & Work Mode: 100% Remote, Canada

Job Type: T4 Contract

Experience: 3 to 5 Years

Pay Rate: CAD $45/hr - $50/hr

Must be able to support EST or PST working hours

Role Summary

We are hiring for this role where the selected candidate will work on building tools, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions for a large-scale CAD and platform-focused engineering environment. This position is ideal for a motivated full-stack developer who enjoys experimentation, systems thinking, and working with modern development and AI-assisted tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client-side applications and backend services using TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tools, prototypes, and proof-of-concept implementations
• Develop internal tools and utilities that support planning, development, and operational workflows
• Contribute ideas and solutions that influence future platform and technology decisions

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
• Use modern AI development tools such as Claude or Cursor to improve productivity and accelerate development.

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in full stack software development
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Experience building web applications, RESTful services, and APIs
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git
• Strong systems thinking mindset to understand and work with complex systems
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, feedback-driven approach to improvement

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude or Cursor
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum development methodologies
