We are looking for a Backend Developer to join an international product team building a large-scale internal system used daily across multiple markets. The product plays a key role in an ongoing digital transformation and is built as a set of scalable, event-driven microservices running in a cloud environment. You will work in a cross-functional team with Frontend Developers, UX Designers, and a Product Owner, contributing to backend services that require high reliability, performance, and clean architecture.
We Offer a Competitive Renumeration
- B2B: 110 – 145 PLN net/hour + VAT
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot;
- Build and evolve microservices with asynchronous communication patterns;
- Implement and integrate event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka;
- Work with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL, ensuring data consistency and performance;
- Develop and consume REST APIs used by frontend and other services;
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests within the Kotlin ecosystem;
- Deploy and operate services in a cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes);
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend standards and best practices;
- Use AI tools responsibly to improve development efficiency and code quality.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Backend Developer;
- Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and Spring Boot, with a solid understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred);
- Very good command of English (C1), both written and spoken;
- Hands-on experience designing services in a microservices architecture;
- Experience working with Apache Kafka and asynchronous communication;
- Ability to work in a cloud environment, including AWS and Kubernetes;
- Practical experience with Git and building REST APIs;
- Understanding of system design fundamentals in distributed systems;
- Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests in the Kotlin ecosystem;
- A strong focus on clean, maintainable, and readable code;
- A proactive, communicative team player with an open and collaborative mindset;
- Based in Poland, with availability for occasional in-person team meetings.
