Senior Cyber Security Engineer – AppSec Specialist
Location: Warsaw
Hybrid: 1 day on-site/ week
We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to enhance our defences against cyber threats. You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions, ensure compliance with global standards, and work with IT and business teams to embed security into infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and operate security solutions in line with Bayer’s policies and standards.
- Collaborate with IT and partners to integrate security into systems, software, and infrastructure.
- Maintain performance and reliability of security systems; support incident response.
- Conduct application security assessments and recommend improvements.
- Support audits, penetration tests, and compliance with standards (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
- Contribute to secure infrastructure design (API, IAM, cloud, DevOps, containerization).
- Align with Cyber Security Architects to apply security best practices.

Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in cybersecurity; background in software engineering (Java, Python, Node.js, SQL, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- CISSP or equivalent certification is a plus.
