TechHeads is currently seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a Contract Role. This role is a Part Time Role which would require 20 hours per week for 3 months and a rolling contract of 20 hours per month after that. Full details will be discussed on briefing call. This is a fully remote role and the successful Contractor must be based in Ireland.

This role will focus on:

SOC 2 (compliance/security framework)

• Work through SOC 2 engineering/infrastructure deficiencies, including:
• AWS configuration for monitoring & logging all aspects of cloud infrastructure
• Cloud security requirements
• Documentation of various processes and systems

DevOps/Infrastructure

• Button up security (roles/access/etc. for cloud infrastructure)
• Audit cloud infrastructure, provide recommendations with concrete next steps
• Execute agree-upon recommendations
• Refine and/or implement APM/telemetry
• Set up APM alerts and on call schedule

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in DevOps engineering or similar role.
• 3-4 years’ experience with using a broad range of technologies: Docker, EKS – Kubernetes, Helm, Argo, Gitlab, Ansible, Oauth2 OIDC, Nginx Ingress Controller, AWS (RDS, S3 VPC), Jenkins.
• DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools
• Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python, bash or PowerShell) and automation skills
• Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration
• Problem Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
