Technical Lead, C++ Algorithmic Trading

Seeking a C++ Technical Lead with expertise in Algorithmic / Electronic / Real Time Trading Systems in London for a Global Top 10 Hedge Fund. Candidates must have direct experience and skills to be considered for this position. This is a Worldwide search. Relocation and visa sponsorship are available for exceptional candidates. Willing to consider candidates with max non-competes of 12 months.

Package

• £200,000-£250,000 base salary
• Top hedge fund bonus 2x-4x

About the role

• Take ownership of this fund's high-performance cross-asset algorithmic trading platform ($1tr+ PA volume)
• Technically lead an incredibly talented team of expert C++ software engineers.
• Technically contribute (lead by example) to the design and development of core components of the high-performance trading stack.
• Ensure maximum uptime for trading systems across markets.

Expertise expectation

• Expertise and deep proficiency in C/C++ Programming
• Track record of significant contribution to high-performance and sophisticated Algorithmic / Electronic / Real Time Trading Systems at either Hedge Funds, Proprietary Traders, Specialist liquidity providers, or large financial institutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive technical agenda, lead a team, and influence business stakeholders.

Requirement

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience contributing to Algorithmic / Electronic / Real Time Trading Systems.
• Deep expertise in C/C++ Programming, Systems Design, Architecture, Distributed Systems, DSA, Performance and Latency Optimisation.
• Excellent domain knowledge and experience working on Linux platforms.
• Excellent academic track record in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
