Job Description


ReOrbit is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior AOCS Engineer to join our growing team in our Helsinki HQ.

As a Senior AOCS Engineer you will be contributing to our satellites design, integration and testing through the hole life cycle of our satellites, both in LEO & GEO orbits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AOCS algorithms, both for attitude and orbit control, including updates to Simulation and Flight SW code.
  • Collaborate closely with the Propulsion & Mission Analysis experts to define and implement orbital maneuvers capabilities required by different satellites.
  • Contribute to the development, execution, and maintenance of AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) & Operations procedures for AOCS components.
  • Train AIT and satellite operators on AOCS procedures and provide technical support, including on-call duties.
  • Lead AOCS anomaly investigations, collaborating with engineers from various disciplines.
  • Perform market research on AOCS components and oversee the integration of new components into satellites, following established protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members for cross functionalities between systems

Skills And Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in AOCS roles.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of astrodynamics and key principles of both Attitude & Orbit determination and control.
  • Experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting AOCS equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in C, Python, Git, Octave and GMAT.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic laboratory equipment is a plus.
