Role Overview:
The Infrastructure team supports multiple environments composed of interconnected applications, platforms, and technologies used across the organization. These systems enable internal teams and external partners to conduct critical business operations and support essential workflows.
The role is highly hands-on and operational, focused on maintaining the stability, availability, security, and performance of both non-production and production environments. The Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in ensuring consistent uptime, supporting day-to-day operations, responding to incidents, and maintaining legacy and modern platforms.
Work includes patching and upgrading infrastructure, managing certificates and service accounts, performing system maintenance, supporting disaster recovery efforts, addressing security vulnerabilities, and providing ongoing production support.

Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work to implement those fixes.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Security Administration for SSO / SAML / SSL certificates.
- Includes coding to support certification / key deployments in production.
- Support ongoing software and hardware upgrades / maintenance including the following middleware, OS and products: WebLogic, Tomcat, ESB/IBMi and AIX.
- Support configuration changes and redesign including: Instance creation, repurpose and modifications.
- Support ongoing internal server account ID expirations including: Making coding changes as needed.
- Working closely with IT cross-team including: Platform teams for AIX, iSeries. Networking, Linux, Unix, App Performance.
- Support security vulnerability remediations including: Addressing risks identified by third party tools (Nexpose, PEN Test).
- Experienced in creating and maintaining application performance monitoring processes including: Dynatrace, Splunk
- Experienced in server performance tuning including: Resolving production support and application performance stability issues.

Qualifications:
Required
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- 5+ years of combined software and infrastructure engineering experience
- Experience with System i (iSeries)
- Exposure with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- Preferred:
- Experience with ESB technology
- Exposure with Unix & Linux
- Database Skills - Database (System I, Oracle, Maria)
- Mule development and support (all development transactions use Mule as silo flow control)
- Experience in AWS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Experience in Agile methodology using JIRA
- Hands on experience with Splunk
