Summary
Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Ping Identity Engineer to support an enterprise‑scale client by designing, delivering, and maintaining customer identity and access management (IAM) solutions. This role focuses heavily on Ping Directory and related Ping Identity products, working closely with IT Engineering and Information Security teams to architect secure, scalable, and high‑performance directory services. The engineer will drive IAM integrations, optimize directory performance, support security initiatives, and act as a subject matter expert for identity technologies across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Ping Directory infrastructure and directory architecture, including schema and replication strategies.
- Integrate Ping Directory with authentication, authorization, SSO, federation, and broader IAM systems.
- Monitor, tune, and optimize directory performance, availability, and replication while performing troubleshooting and root‑cause analyses.
- Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and guidelines for IAM and directory services operations.
- Support Information Security initiatives, risk assessments, audits, compliance efforts, and remediation of identity‑related incidents.
- Provide technical leadership, consultation, and mentoring to junior engineers and offshore teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years focused on Ping Directory or similar LDAP‑based directory services.
- 5+ years of Identity & Access Management experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Ping Identity products: PingDirectory, PingAccess, PingFederate, PingOne.
- Strong understanding of directory architecture, schema design, replication, distributed computing, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or Python.
- Understanding of IAM concepts including SSO, federation, MFA, tokens, and directory security.
- Experience integrating IAM or directory services with on‑prem or hybrid cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of application and data security concepts, vulnerabilities, and enterprise security practices.
- Experience working with offshore teams; regulated industry experience (e.g., financial services) is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or Ping Identity certifications are preferred.
- Must‑Haves: Strong communication skills, good work ethic, PingDirectory expertise.
- Nice‑to‑Haves: AWS, Java, PingFederate.
